"Escritos Escolhidos" [Selected Writings] e "Passa-a-Palavra: Falemos de Arquitetura" [Word-of-Mouth: let´s talk about architecture]

At a time of confinement, the University of Porto´s Casa Comum issued the challenge and the Marques da Silva Foundation responded with two sets of podcasts: "Selected Writings" and "Word-of-Mouth: let´s talk about architecture".

Borrowing the title of the last book published as part of the translation of Giorgio Grassi´s written work, "Escritos Escolhidos" ["Selected Writings"] aims to give voice to the words written by the architects who have entrusted their collections to the Marques da Silva Foundation. It is a fact that writing, dictated by professional requirements or in response to a personal wish, is always present in the daily lives of Architects. Unpublished or already published, they will be texts which can offer another perspective on the writer or on their subject.

In "Passa-a-Palavra: falemos de arquitetura" ["Word-of-Mouth: let´s talk about architecture"], the Marques da Silva Foundation invites the community of Architects to reveal the design or work that holds a place of reference in their view of the Architectural world. This personal choice will be explained to us here, leaving at the end of each programme an implicit invitation to the one that follows, thus creating a chain that will span multiple generations of architects.
